The Work
The Six-Month Cycle
We designed a bespoke program to offer adult musicians impacted by homelessness the time, resources, and individualized instruction required to develop artistically and personally.
Members receive private lessons, access to high quality instruments, and biweekly financial support.
This structure removes practical barriers while maintaining a clear expectation: the work is rigorous, progress is measurable, and the artistic standard does not change because of circumstance.
Over six months, each musician works toward a unified performance standard shared across the ensemble. Members develop technique, musicianship, rehearsal discipline, repertoire, and the ability to perform alongside other artists at a consistent level. Support is individualized, but the destination is collective: an orchestra capable of presenting work with the precision and integrity expected of any professional concert music ensemble.
For musicians who reach that standard, the goal is a transition from training into paid ensemble work. Members are invited to perform professionally as full time employees for their musicianship and participation in the development of the ensemble.
